Blue Knights Montgomery County Fallen Officers Ride

Over two hundred and fifty motorcycles turned out at Coventry Mall for the Blue Knights PA XXII Fallen Officer Memorial Ride on Sunday September 30th. It was a crisp sunny morning perfect for riding a motorcycle. Thank you to the police departments from North Coventry Township, West Vincent Township, East Vincent Township, East Pikeland Township, Phoenixville Borough, Schuylkill Township, Valley Forge National Park Rangers, Upper Merion Township, Lower Providence Township, West Norriton Township, Pennsylvania State Police, Towamencin Township and Upper Gwynedd Township for providing traffic control along the route and allowing the riders safe non-stop event. Special thank you to Norristown Borough Police Department and Warrington Township Police Department for allowing your officers to ride their motorcycles and help keep us safe on the roads.

Bikers traveled just over thirty miles to the Upper Gwynedd Township Park where riders rode under a flag arch setup by the Upper Gwynedd Fire Company and North Penn Fire Company while members of the Brian Boru Pipe and Drums played bagpipes. The Upper Gwynedd Fire Company cooked hamburgers and hot dogs for the hungry riders.

Guest speakers included District Attorney Bruce Castor, Pennsylvania Superior Court Judge Seamus McCaffery and radio personality Dom Giordano gave brief remarks which included why all were in attendance for the ride. To honor the fallen law enforcement officers in Montgomery County.
